Dolapo Talks The Making Of Her Single 'Interest' And Her Love For The Nigerian Music Scene

Updated: Nov 25, 2021

Dolapo is the next name to be heard within emerging talent circles whilst she earns her stripes throughout the industry by having sung backing and co-writing for some of the UK’s most exciting artists such as Tion Wayne, ZieZie and Young T & Bugsey. In an effort to pursue her solo career, Dolapo carries a fresh take on electronic-doused R&B which has her music suitable for almost any time of the day, as well as drizzling angelic vocals on top. With her debut track ‘Blink of an Eye’ demonstrating her irrefutable talent, Dolapo has stepped up her game with her release with Hardy Caprio ‘Something New’, a track that takes a different approach in Hardy Caprio’s style whilst exchanging melodies with the songstress. A reflective and sentimental track that only fortifies Dolapo’s style and flare within her craft.

With her recent Y2K-inspired and afroswing sprinkled track ‘Interest’ with the exceptionally talented Ms Banks, Dolapo embraces her abilities and steps into the limelight having been the brains behind many popular songs in the UK scene. With her obsession with the early 2000s R&B vibe that groups, singers and rappers such as Destiny’s Child, Brandy or Aaliyah would bring, Dolapo is looking to bring us more variety with her new music. As her creative

processes and influences come from all things around her, Dolapo pours her soul into every word of her writing, and we’re here to soak in it all.
